Homeschooling in QLD
CEA can help make your homeschooling registration and reporting in Queensland simple and stress free.
As in all States, homeschoolers in Queensland need to register with the Department of Education from ages 6 to 16. When you make your application to homeschool you automatically are given a provisional registration and you can remove your children from school. The process takes about two weeks.
To begin the registration process, download and fill in your application for registration form from the Queensland Home Education Unit (HEU). This can be found by CLICKING HERE
The initial homeschooling Queensland application form does not require you to send in an educational plan. Once the form is sent back to the HEU and you get a provisional registration (about 2 working days later) which lasts for 60 days. During this provisional registration period you need to ensure you have your full homeschooling program in order to send in your application for a Certificate in Home Education. Once granted this certificate lasts 12 months. Registration is continuous however you are required to send in a report of progress every 12 months. We provide all you need to make reporting simple.
The CEA program includes all the topics the Department requires: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Science – Includes: history, geography, politics and civics, The Arts – Includes: visual arts, dancing and music), Health and Physical Education, Technologies, Languages
When using CEA we will provide you with full year documentation to include as your full year learning plans, which show when and how you will cover the Australian curriculum in every subject. We also provide you with the templates and information about how to tailor the program to fit your individual child’s needs. It is important to show how the program will be adapted. We are very happy to help with this process.
